Brief Introduction

I received the B. Sc degree in mathematics from Suzhou University in 1986, the M. Sc degree in computational mathematics from Nanjing Normal University in 1991, and the Ph.D. degree from Southeast University in 1996. From Oct. 1996 to Dec. 2001, l had been worked at Nanjing University of Science &Technology, City University of Hong Kong and University of Bristol. l have been a Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) since 2002 and a Distinguished Professor of SJTU since 2008. From Feb. 2017 to Feb. 2018, I served as the deputy director of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education. In Feb. 2018, I was the Vice President of Shanghai University and in Sep. 2023. I am the President of Institute of Technology.

I received the 2002 National Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars of P. R. China, the 2005 Guillemin-Cauer Best Transactions Paper Award from the lEEE Circuits and Systems Society, the 2008 First-Class Prize of Shanghai Natural Science Award, the 2008 Distinguished Professor of the Chaing Jiang Scholars Program, Ministry of Education, the 2010 Peony Prize for Natural Science Researchers in Shanghai, the 2014 First-Class Prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award, the 2015 Second-Class Prize of the State Natural Science Award, and the 2022 Highest prize of the Shanghai Teaching Achievement Award.
